WHAT IS EARTH DAY ?
It is an annual event celebrated around the world every 22nd of April. In 1969, the peace activist John Mc Connel proposed a day to honour the Earth, at a UNESCO meeting.
It was first celebrated in 1970 to honour the Earth and arise awareness on the protection of the environment. 193 countries, including Mauritius, celebrate Earth day .
This year was the 50th anniversary of Earth Day . Earth Day reminds us to take care of our planet by planting more trees.

-Reduce the dependency on plastics
-Plant vegetables and flowers in your garden
-Practice organic gardening and produce organic vegetables.
